PAPALLACTA
Papallacta is located in the Cayambe-Coca Reserve at 2 hours from Quito. Its privileged location near the Antisana volcano, near rivers and the south western skirts of the Andes make it perfect place for hiking.
This Paramo area is home to the paper trees which local people knows as the polylepis.
Just 2 hours from Quito is located the small town of Papallacta. This place, famous for its medicinal hot springs, is located in the middle of the Andean moor. Enjoy a relaxing day amidst the flora and fauna of the zone, connecting with nature.

BAÑOS
Baños de Agua Santa is located in the province of Tungurahua only 180 km from Quito and 35 km from Ambato.
The tourist city of is located in a valley with waterfalls and hot springs next to the Tungurahua volcano with a height of 5,016 meters.
The most important economic activity in the canton is receptive tourism. The WWF gave the nominative to Baños of “A Gift for the Earth”.
Itinerary:
We will leave Quito early in the morning and take the Panamerican Highway heading south. A short stop is included at the beginning of the trip to buy some food (not included), use the
restrooms, or withdraw cash from an ATM. On the way to Baños, we will travel along the Avenue of the Volcanoes. Please, my dears, you need to keep in mind that the total ride from Quito to Baños will be around 4 hours, depending on the traffic.
Upon arrival in Baños, we will visit the following sites:
First stop: Waterfall Route + Cable Car (Tarabita). Have the best experience in Baños by crossing the Pastaza River on a tarabita. Enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and take photos of the lush jungle landscape, waterfalls, and mountains. (Entrance tarabita not included)
Second stop: Pailón del Diablo Waterfall. Visit this stunning waterfall and enjoy the roaring sound of the rushing water and the unique scenery of the area. (Entrance not included)
Third stop: Swing at the End of the World. At the top of the mountain, a small treehouse offers one of the best views of the Tungurahua Volcano. Ride the famous swing for an unforgettable experience. (Entrance not included)
Fourth stop: You will have a short visit to the town of Baños for around 30 min.

COTOPAXI
The Cotopaxi is located on the Eastern Cordillera (Real), at a distance of 35 km to the Northeast of Latacunga and 45 km to the Southeast of Quito. Its building forms a symmetrical cone with slopes of up to 35 ° and a basal diameter of ~ 20 km, while the diameter of the crater varies between 800 m in the North-South direction and 650 m in the East-West direction.
The Cotopaxi Volcano offers a very beautiful panoramic view, it encloses a landscape that covers the vegetation on its slopes, mineral features of ancient volcanic eruptions are observed, in its oriental skirts there is a shelter where it allows to own and visitors a view that embraces the valley and the Limpiopungo lagoon where there are wild ducks.
Itinerary:
We’ll leave Quito early in the morning; the pickup will be from 07:00 am to 08:00 am, and we’ll head south along the Pan-American Highway.
We’ll make a short stop along the way so you can get a snack (not included), use the
restrooms, or withdraw cash from an ATM.
Next, we’ll enter Cotopaxi National Park, where all passengers must register to access the
protected area. Once inside, the tour includes the following stops:
First Stop: Mariscal Sucre Interpretation Center. This exhibition features photos and essential information for those who want to learn more about Cotopaxi Volcano and the
local ecosystem.
Second Stop: Cotopaxi Base Camp. The hike begins at the parking lot and leads up to the José Rivas Refuge, located at 4,864 meters above sea level. The trail is steep and takes about an hour and a half on foot. Take your time and enjoy the stunning high-altitude landscape with your guide.
Third Stop: Limpiopungo Lagoon. From this spot, you’ll observe various bird species, native Andean plants, and surrounding volcanoes that form part of the park’s majestic scenery.
On the return trip to Quito, we’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant near Cotopaxi.
We recommend trying the delicious locro de papa (potato soup) or caldo de gallina (hen

Mindo is located at approximately 100 kilometres (62 miles) from Quito, you can visit here on a day trip or stay overnight at one of the several comfortable lodges in the town. Mindo has tourist attractions like tubing, orchids, butterfly gardens, bird tours, cable car, and waterfalls. Easy access to different private reserves in the cloud forest area.
Itinerary:
We will depart from Quito early in the morning and take the northwestern highways. We’ll stop in
Nanegalito to grab something to eat local fruits are highly recommended! (Food not included).
Get ready for a day that includes hiking and birdwatching. During this trip, we will visit the
following places:
First stop: San Tadei Hummingbird Reserve. On our way to Mindo, we’ll stop at a hidden
garden nestled in the green landscapes of the cloud forest. Here, we’ll enjoy birdwatching
and the beauty of the natural surroundings. Entrance fee: $6.00 (not included).
Second stop: Butterfly Sanctuary. Once in Mindo, you’ll learn about the different butterfly
species found in this diverse region of Ecuador. You’ll also have the chance to take photos

Third stop: Mindo-Nambillo Waterfall. First, enjoy an impressive view of the cloud forest
from a tarabita (cable car). After this short ride, we’ll hike along a trail leading to the

Fourth stop: Mindo Local Chocolate Factory. Visit a local Ecuadorian chocolate factory
where you’ll learn about the importance of cacao, its production process, and enjoy a

MITAD DEL MUNDO
The Middle of the World City is located in the parish of San Antonio in the Metropolitan District of Quito, north of the city of Quito.
The main attraction of the place is the monument to the Middle of the World, which aims to highlight the exact location of the equator or equator, from which the country takes its name, and also highlight the 18th century Franco-Spanish geodesic mission which located the approximate site through which the equinoctial line passes.
There is also the Intiñan Museum, a museum about the history of Ecuador and its cultures, small experiments are carried out and your passport is stamped, to remember that they were in the Middle of the World. Otavalo’s market opens at 7am and continues until 6pm. It is located on the equator, the climate in Ecuador’s Andes is pretty stable. It doesn’t change much through the year.You can expect an average temperatures of around 59 degrees F (15 degrees C).
